Working with partners

In Richmond, INS delivers the Community Independent Living Service (CILS) contract in a partnership of 20 local charities, delivering advice, support and signposting to residents in Richmond borough. INS is also part of the Carers Hub Service, led by Richmond Carers Centre, commissioned by Richmond Council to provide services for carers in the borough.

In Hounslow, INS delivers the Stroke contract in partnership with the Stroke Association, working to deliver longer term stroke support.

Our clinical staff work closely with local NHS community neuro rehabilitation teams, healthcare professionals and GPs over referrals and treatment. We have run Parkinson’s outpatients clinics for Hounslow residents at Southville Community Centre and in Richmond, the MS nurse held a pilot clinic at our Twickenham base.

We work with a range of national and local voluntary organisations. We have run two information days covering Parkinson’s and Stroke, delivered with Parkinson’s UK and the Stroke Association, with more planned for other conditions. The Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation (QEF) provides monthly driving assessments at INS. We deliver blocks of music therapy in partnership with local charity Otakar Kraus Music Trust, and also work with Move into Wellbeing, another local charity, to provide chair-based, dance exercise sessions.
