Walking for INS
24th October, 2017

Ruth is a volunteer for INS who helps manage our information and resource library. At the beginning of the year Ruth decided to try to walk 1000 miles in 2017 to raise some funds for INS.

"It is halfway through the year and I have already covered 600 miles" says Ruth and also asks "Will you support me by making a donation to help me reach my target and further the work of INS? Please give generously as you can. All offerings will be most gratefully received".

The easiest way to contirbute is to visit: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/RuthJones27 or you can sign the sponsorship form at the INS offices.

Update from Ruth (August 2017):

"Thought you might like to know I reached 736 miles today - the length of Italy (minus the mountains!)  I spent last weekend with my Footprints Walking Club and covered 28 miles in 3 days on the South Downs, around Arundel and along the Chichester Ship Canal to Bosham.  We even found time to watch a ravce at Goodwood! The weather was really good,  but I didn’t realise it was the hottest Bank Holiday ever until after I came home.  So far I have raised almost £500 online, including GiftAid, plus whatever is on the list at INS".

Update from Ruth (October 2017):

"I am just back from Malta where I enjoyed a week of coastal and country walking (33 miles) in warm conditions and lovely surroundings, taking me up to a total of 900 miles. On the last lap now. So far I have raised £907.50p including Gift Aid".
