We were delighted to welcome so many friends, fellow healthcare workers, community organisations and clients to our Open Day on 4 May. INS trustees, staff and volunteers were on hand to talk about how we help people with neurological conditions and give visitors a tour of INS’ facilities. Artwork, photography and poetry from the Creative Activities group, materials from the Taking Back Control programme and the Spiritual Wellbeing group and the specialist equipment used by the Fit Club were all on display.
On a beautiful sunny day, visitors also enjoyed the adapted garden – the raised beds, newly planted by volunteers – which will be used for horticultural therapy. Refreshments were provided from the new cafe meeting area and fully accessible kitchen – the worktop, which can be raised or lowered at the touch of a button was a particular hit!
